Geelanter Congratulates Bobcat on Groundbreaking of New Manufacturing Facility in Mexico

August 26, 2024 - Geelanter Solid Tire Co., Ltd. extends its warmest congratulations to Bobcat on the groundbreaking of their new manufacturing facility in Salinas Victoria, Mexico. This new factory, announced in 2023, is set to expand Bobcat’s global footprint, enhancing production capacity for selected compact track loaders and skid steer loader models. In addition to the United States and the Czech Republic, this new facility will further contribute to Bobcat’s manufacturing capabilities, meeting the growing demands of customers worldwide.

Scott Park, CEO and Vice Chairman of Doosan Bobcat, emphasized the significance of this development, stating, "Our business has experienced tremendous growth, and this new facility will support our long-term plans to increase output to meet customer demand. This groundbreaking represents our commitment to our customers, both present and future, who are ready to achieve more with our equipment."

The new facility will seek LEED Silver certification, incorporating state-of-the-art technology with a focus on quality, precision, and energy efficiency. Mike Ballweber, President of Doosan Bobcat North America, expressed optimism about the expansion, "We look forward to expanding our manufacturing footprint in the Salinas Victoria community, which boasts a strong industrial sector, skilled workforce, and a robust business environment. The design team for the project includes the U.S.-based Shultz + Associates Architects and Mexico-based GP Construcción (a division of Grupo GP) as construction managers. Shultz + Associates Architects has collaborated with Bobcat on many design and architectural projects across North America, while GP Construcción specializes in industrial parks and facilities throughout Mexico. The new factory is expected to create 600 to 800 jobs in the region.
